About Seanie

Seanie joined Midlands 103 in November 2007 as winner of their “Radio Idol” Competition. During that month he presented his own mix of music from the 80's and 90's on his own show as part of the prize. When his last show was to air on Wednesday November 28th, he was interviewed live on the “Midlands Today” show with Will Faulkner, who, as Director of Programming offered Seanie the slot on a permanent basis. Seanie gladly accepted. On Monday December 3rd 2007, under the name of “Strictly Retro”, Seanie began a new facet of his Radio and DJ career. "Last Orders” has been on the go since August 2009, offering a better mix on the dial of 80's, 90's and Noughties mixed with today's best new music.
Seanie has been a DJ since his NUI Maynooth days in early 1997, serving his time in just about every kind of gig going. His first taste of radio was on NUI Maynooth's “RAG Wave” in 1999. He later went on to co-present the “Whacky Saturday” show for two and a half years on CKR FM until 2004. He later presented his own show online with “Ice Radio” daily for 8 months during 2005/06. Then came along Midlands 103...
Seanie is currently the resident DJ for The Core in Tullamore on Thursday nights where he has been for the last 6 years. He plays a mix of the latest Dance and R'n'B with Old School and Pop.
