HP Employees Receive The Best Help In Finding New Jobs
Written 4 weeks ago by Angel Croitor
Two workers in Hewlette-Packard in Kildare, Kevin Rourke from Killeigh and Ken Breen from Kerry, have found themselves with an uncertain future as HP will cease their operations in Leixlip next year.
Kevin and Ken were at National Life Science Career Opportunities Biopharma, Medtech & Engineering Fair 2017 to test the waters and seek out other employment opportunities in their fields.
The announcement that HP will cease their operations came about in February of this year. Kevin’s contract won’t expire until the 21st of January of 2018 and the support they’re receiving from HP is something of a dream.
“If a certain beer brand did redundancies this would be it” – Kevin Rourke.
We were told that HP have been offering support to those about to be made redundant with CV training, interview and career coaching. It appears that the company have the employees at heart even at the end of it all.
Ken Breen’s roll started much earlier than Kevin’s and he started out as an electronic engineer. Five years ago he moved into a product manager role and doing market/competitor analysis.
The sectors that Ken is particularly interested in were along the line of product management which he took the day at the Engineering Fair to see if some of the companies are at the stage of their expansion where a role such as his is in demand.
