What Are The Least Worst Fast Foods For You?
Written 2 weeks ago by Angel Croitor
Ireland is in the top ten in the world for eating fast food. We spend an average of €262 per head per year.
This includes burgers, pizza, chips, indians, chinese, etc. and we’re more inclined to eat fast food than the Australians, Canadians, and Finland to name a few.
Angela Green, from realweightloss.ie, suggests that if you’re going to splash out on some take away, and are weight conscious, then avoid pizza. Pizza seems to be quite high on the calorific content.
So the goal is to aim for the lower calorific meals if you simply must have a take away on the night.
“Your chicken chow mein, vegetable chow meins, is lower than going with your curry. Indian will be a lot higher than Chinese.”
Making an informed choice is what Angela drives home. It is about knowing how many calories you are going to be eating that matters. Most takeaways, such as the Indian and Chinese, will include their calories in their brochures as a way to help people make informed decisions for takeaways even when they’re watching their weight.
“There is no best and there is no worst – its down to personal choice. It’s doing a little bit of research yourself and saying what is higher and what is lower.”
Angela says that if you’re not afraid to ask the restaurants or takeaways about their methods of cooking they’re more than willing to tell you how it’s prepared and how they can help you stay on your weight loss track by possibly just changing the oils in the meals they prepare.
