Laois Woman Sickened By The Dumping At Her Brother’s Memorial
Written 2 months ago by Angel Croitor
Fiona Bergin received a text from a girl she knew in school to let her know about a pile of rubbish left behind on her brother’s memorial.
“The headstone was covered in rubbish – where Kevin was killed.”
The girl who had sent the message to Fiona, being the saint that she is, turned around cleaned up the rubbish.
“This is the second time this has happened.”
The road the memorial is located at is a main road known as Ballacolla road in Middlemont. Fiona says that she feels the person left the rubbish at the memorial without a care.
“It makes me very angry. It’s quite remote – you have to travel you have to have a car to get there – it’s not as if someone was passing by the car and decided to throw out the rubbish. You have to be there to put it there.”
Kevin, died on Christmas Day in 2008, at the hands of a drunk driver.
