will-faulkner“When people in the midlands want to talk, they talk to Will Faulkner”.

It is the mantra of The Midlands Today Show – Ireland’s Current Affairs Show of the Year 2016 at the PPI National Radio Awards. Will was named in Ireland’s top three news broadcasters in 2015, having finished in the top three speech broadcasters two years earlier.

Away from the microphone, he is the face of several charity initiatives. ‘Run with Will’ is an annual fundraiser in Co Offaly for Irish Autism Action, generating over €50,000 in three years and he has raised even more through his association with the Midlands Simon Community’s annual ‘Sleep Out’ in Birr Castle. We thought it unwise to call it ‘Sleep with Will’!!

Will makes frequent television appearances, on shows such as ‘RTÉ Primetime’ and ‘Retail Therapy’. He has contributed to The Irish Times on media issues and lectured at Windmill Lane Studios and Griffith College Dublin. He is one of the most sought-after MCs in the midlands but also lends his time voluntarily for many community events.

A native of Co Kildare, Will is proud to call Clonbullogue in Co Offaly his new home, where he lives with wife Alix and their two children. You can listen to Will Faulkner on the Midlands Today Show, Monday – Friday, from 9am. The show is produced by Sinead Hubble, a native of Oldcastle in Co Meath.
