‘Access To Art Should Be A Human Right’

A children’s author believes having access to art growing up should be a human right.
Sarah Crossan has been visiting St. Bridgid’s Special School in Mullingar as part of a project which aims to inspire young people to express themselves through poetry.
Teachers in the school helped the pupils write their poems through sensory stimuli such as sound and texture.
The novelist says those with intellectual disabilities can find it easier to communicate through creative methods.
