‘Bord Na Mona Redundancy Packages Are Inferior’

SIPTU says the Bord na Móna voluntary redundancy package being offered to staff is inferior to those given to other semi-state workers.
The union has been telling an Oireachtas Committee on Climate Action that employees feel they have been treated abysmally.
Up to 430 members could be let go with a €40 million believed to be set aside for the packages.
Willie Noone, energy sector organiser with SIPTU, says it’s not enough.
