Boxer Moran – ‘Everything Being Done To Prevent Shannon Flooding’

The OPW Minister says that everything that can be done is being done to prevent the Shannon flooding.
Following heavy rain, the river is higher in Athlone now than it was two years ago in advance of flooding locally and further south in Banagher and Shannon Harbour.
Kevin Boxer Moran says OPW staff are currently working to repair a burst bank on the River Brosna in Mullingar which has partially flooded a carpark.
