Burke Questions Transparency Surrounding Garda Station Reopening
Written 1 month ago by Newsroom
A Longford Westmeath Fine Gael TD says the reopening of a Dublin Garda station raises more questions about transparency in the force.
Acting Commissioner Dónall Ó Cualáin has told the Public Accounts Committee that he can’t provide them with a report on the issue as promised because it is the responsibility of the Department of Justice.
Some TDs are concerned that Stepaside is only being reopened to keep Minister Shane Ross happy.
Deputy Peter Burke is questioning whether the right decision has been made.
