Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following two burglaries in Offaly.

Cash was stolen from a house in Rath and a second in Moorepark Street in Birr yesterday.

Anyone that noticed suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact Birr Garda Station on 057 9169710.

The burglaries follow a series of similar incidents in the county in recent weeks.
