“Funds Need To Build Midlands Palliative Care Unit”

The Irish Hospice Foundation says charities across the Midlands have millions of euro in funding reserves they could use to set up a palliative care unit.
Offaly Hospice has kicked started the drive by donating half a million for the development, but there is reluctance among some groups to follow suit.
This is down to a fear of local supports suffering while a new facility is being set up, with the HSE committing to help with staffing but not construction.
