The new Chief Superintendent in Westmeath is leaving her post after less than a month.
Johanna O’Leary was appointed to the top position in the Lake County on July 29th but will now be in charge of setting up a new anti-corruption unit.
This comes as part of the Garda Inspectorate’s recent inspection of counter corruption practices within An Garda Síochána.
No one has been appointed to replace her at this time.
