Communities Can Fight Rural Crime – IFA

Written 1 year ago by Newsroom

The IFA say communities working together can reduce local crime.

Gardaí say that following the launch of the winter phase of Operation Thor, the number of reported burglaries in December compared to October fell by almost a third across Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow.

Homeowners are being urged to ‘Lock Up and Light Up’ particularly between 5pm and 11pm when most break-ins occur.

Ballacolla native Jer Bergin is IFA spokesperson on crime and security.
