FF TD Says Action Needed On Case Of Priest Murdered In Clara

A Roscommon-Galway TD is calling for action from the Government following the publication of a report into the investigation of the murder of a priest in Clara in 1986.

GSOC said they expected evidence and information to be kept on the case of Father Niall Molloy’s death – after a complaint was issued by the victim’s nephew saying the “shambolic, unprofessional” investigation led to a “serious miscarraige of justice”.

Another nephew, Bill Maher has said the family hold new evidence that if it were released to the public it would cause uproar.
