A man is being questioned by Gardaí following the alleged rape of sex workers.

The Irish Independent reports that three women have come forward after being violently attacked in Portlaoise, Dublin and Galway.

A Romanian national in his mid 40s is being held at Lucan Garda Station.

Independent.ie reporter Cathal McMahon says the attack in Portlaoise was similar to two earlier incidents.
