A local representative of middle-ranking Gardaí says they can’t do their job without the confidence of the public.
Recent controversies loom large over the AGSI’s annual conference including wrongful convictions for penalty points and false breathalyser data.
Garda Commissioner Nóirín O’Sullivan will address delegates tomorrow.
AGSI General Secretary John Jacob from Kilcormac, Co. Offaly says they are as “anxious as anybody” that investigations into the force are concluded and the findings delivered.
