INMO Highlights Challenge Of Recruiting Nurses In Midlands Hospitals
Written 12 months ago by Newsroom
A local representative of nurses and midwives says recruitment and retention is the major issue affecting the Midlands.
Ahead of the INMO’s annual conference, new figures show that trolley numbers at Portlaoise Hospital are up almost a third on last year, Tullamore’s total rose slightly and Mullingar’s figure fell marginally.
A record 36,000 people waited on trolleys across the country in the first four months of the year.
Westmeath INMO representative Joe Hoolan is expecting a “lively” conference.
