Labour TD Slams Country’s Treatment Of Carers

A Longford Westmeath TD says we must ashamed of the way the country has treated carers.

Labour’s Willie Penrose has been speaking in the Dáil, after it has been announced by Minister with responsibility for Disability Issues, Finian McGrath that 14,000 extra people will get an GP visit card.

According to Family Carers Ireland in Tullamore, unpaid caregivers save the state a billion euro every year.
