Laois Records Second Highest Increase In .ie Domain Registrations

Laois has recorded the country’s second highest increase in dot i-e internet domain registrations in the first half of this year.

New figures from IE Domain Registry show Leinster registered 16,513 new .ie domains since January.

365 new .ie sites were registered in Laois in the first half of 2019 – coming in second to Dublin.

That’s almost 30 per cent more than this time last year.

Elsewhere in the midlands, Westmeath registered 361 new .ie domains, a three per cent decrease from the first half of 2018.

And in Offaly, 196 new domains have been registered since January, down 17 per cent on last year.

The analysis also reveals the most vistied sites in Ireland include Google, Daft and Donedeal.ie.
