Live Register Figures Fall In The Midlands

The number of people signing on in the Midlands is continuing to fall.

The CSO’s Live Register shows the number of people without work in Laois, Offaly, Westmeath and Longford is just over 15,000 – having come down by around 400 in the past month.

The seasonally adjusted figure for the country fell by 3,100 – which shows the lowest number since May 2008.

Nationwide 196,000 people signed on last month.
