A man arrested on suspicion of murder in Laois has been released without charge.

The suspect, in his 30s, was taken into custody last Thursday by Gardai investigating the disappearance of William Delaney from Portlaoise in January.

A teenage girl was also released without charge.

Files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The search at the Rock of Dunamase for a body concluded on Friday.
