McFadden Concerned At Lack Of Progress On Flood Response

A Westmeath Fine Gael senator wants the immediate establishment of a specialist flood response agency.

Gabrielle McFadden says that while the Government created a junior minister position, nothing substantial has changed in how we would deal with a major incident tomorrow.

She is calling on Minister of State Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran to act now to ensure that the delays in responding to emergencies and preventing future flooding are not repeated in future.

Senator McFadden says too many agencies are involved.
