McFadden Wants Levels On Lough Ree Lowered To Tackle Flooding

Gabrielle McFadden wants levels on Lough Ree lowered to help prevent flooding along the Shannon.

It follows the announcement that levels will be reduced at Lough Allen this winter.

Minister Sean Canney has told the Seanad that 12 major flood relief schemes will be underway by the end of this year, and insists the Government is doing all it can.

Westmeath Fine Gael Senator McFadden says action is needed at Lough Ree.
