Written 3 years ago by Newsroom
The Health Minister is meeting local councillors and TDs today to discuss the future of the Edenderry ambulance service.
Staff have operated out of Tullamore since the summer after Ofalia House was deemed unsafe due to building works.
The minister is being asked to confirm that funding is available for the new premises which has planning approval and is expected to be finished in two years’ time.
Simon Harris is also being urged to give a commitment that a temporary base in Edenderry will be found in the meantime.
Independent councillor Noel Cribbin says ambulance response times are a concern.
