Most Of Westmeath Asked To Conserve Water Due To Low Lake Levels

Residents in the majority of Westmeath are being asked to conserve water due to “historically” low water levels in Lough Owel.

Irish Water is putting the notice in place for the foreseeable future due to unseasonably dry weather.

The areas included are Mullingar, Ballinacarrigy, Rathowen, Street, Lismacaffrey, Rathconrath, Killucan, Coralstown, Kinnegad, Milltownpass, Rochfortbridge, Tyrrellspass, Kilbeggan, Ballinagore, Gaybrook, Moate, Horseleap, Streamstown, Ballymore.
