Mullingar Senator Urges Minister To Protect Local Rail Services

A Mullingar senator is urging the Transport Minister not to cut local rail services.

Fianna Fail’s Aidan Davitt has told the Seanad that he has “serious concerns” about Shane Ross’s intentions for the future of Irish Rail.

A report by the National Transport Authority warns that the country could be left with just a skeleton service if there is not major investment.

Senator Davitt is warning Minister Ross about any possible cuts.
