‘Nationals At Bigger Risk’ As Offaly Papers To Be Sold

The editor of an Offaly newspaper believes nationals are at a greater risk of becoming redundant than locals.
Member of the UK’s House of Lord, John Taylor has agreed to sell the Tullamore and Midlands Tribunes to company Iconic – which has 21 titles including the Leinster Express in Laois.
The deal is yet to be approved by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commissioner – to ensure there is no monopoly.
