New Recruits Begin Training In Athlone’s Custume Barracks

Ninety-six new recruits will walk through the gates of Custume Barracks in Athlone today.

They will take part in 15 weeks of training to help in their transition from civilian life to army life.

A passing out ceremony will be held in Athlone in January.
