The Junior Planning Minister says there are no plans to introduce solar farm guidelines.

Meath West Fine Gael TD Damien English has come under pressure from party colleague, Senator Tim Lombard, who insists it is time to act on the issue.

Over 200 planning applications have been lodged for solar farms in the last two years, including many in the midlands.

Minister English is happy with the current laws for such developments.
