“Nobody Here Wants To Be On Strike”
Written 3 weeks ago by Eoin O Donoghue
Patients are being told to expect significant disruption to the health service today as support staff go on strike.
Workers at the three Midlands Regional Hospitals are among the 10 thousand who have downed tools for the next 24 hours as part of a pay dispute.
The biggest impact will be on surgeries, inpatient procedures and outpatient procedures.
Catering is also affected – with some hospitals serving soup and sandwiches rather than a full meal.
These workers are on the picket line outside Tullamore Hospital.
