Permission has been granted for a nursing home in Laois.

The local authority has given Nursing Home Development Limited the go-ahead for the 60-bed development off the Killeshin Road at Ballykillen in Graiguecullen.

Laois County Council has attached 16 conditions to its decision.

Appeals can still be made to An Bord Pleanala.
