Offaly Convent Closing Its Doors After 200 Years

An Offaly convent will be closing its doors next August after more than 200 years.
Seven nuns live in the Presentation Convent in Killina, one of which serving there since 1941, and another retiring just last year at the age of 95.
It had been established in 1817 when a woman invited the sisters to help the local children, struck by the poverty they were living in.
