Offaly Town To Get €100,000 In Funding

Written 2 months ago by Mary Kate Findon

An Offaly town is set to receive funding under a new initiative to encourage people to move to the area.

Banagher is one of 6 places to be allocated €100,000 to engage with communities and local businesses and come up with practical solutions to regenerate the area.

Birr Counciller Eamon Dooley says it’s great news for Banagher Development Group, who can now further pursue their vision for the town.

While he explains part of the funding will be spent on documents to help pave the way for the rest of the country, Mr Dooley is hopeful the town will benefit.
