Offaly Volunteers Collect 1.5 Tonnes Of Dumped Rubbish

One and a half tonnes of rubbish has been collected by an Offaly community.

Over 50 volunteers teamed with the county council to collect rubbish covering around four kilometres of road near Durrow.

The Community Alert says it has seen an increase in dumping over the last two years and Chairperson Kenneth O Gorman says much of the clean up was recyclable but there were some surprises:
