Over €110,000 Granted For Cancer Care Transport Schemes In the Midlands

No services in the Laois, Offaly or Westmeath have been granted funding for the Department of Rural and community development for people in need of medical services.

Nearly 900 thousand euro is being made available to 20 voluntary organisations across the country for Mobility and Cancer Care Transport.

With over €110,000 euro going to three organisations in Longford – €19,550 has been allocated to Rath Mhuire Resource Centre ,  Longford Hospice Homecare will get €45,830.00 and Irish Wheelchair Association is set to receive €47,191.00

The funding is being provided under the CLÁR programmme, it will support the purchasing and fit outs of vehicles that bring people for medical treatment.
