Partner Of Garda Whistleblower Denies They Wanted Fame
Written 3 weeks ago by Newsroom
Marisa Simms has rejected claims made at the Disclosures Tribunal that she and Garda Keith Harrison wanted the fame of being whistleblowers.
The tribunal is examining contacts between senior gardaí and Tusla about Garda Harrison, who was stationed in Athlone before being transferred to Donegal.
Ms Simms said the Tusla issue was just a snippet of what the couple had gone through, claiming that she had been pursued by blue lights as she went shopping in Dunnes Stores and was waved at by gardaí in a patrol car as she played in the garden with her children.
Ms Simms said they had no choice but to do something.
