Written 2 years ago by Newsroom
Tullamore Hospital is again asking patients to visit their GP where possible as it deals with further overcrowding.
The HSE’s escalation policy has been activated at the hospital for a second day due to high levels of attendances and admissions.
According to the INMO, 38 patients are on trolleys in the emergency department or in full wards today, ahead of Portlaoise with 21 and Mullingar with 18.
Nationally, almost 430 patients are awaiting admission.
