“Pope Must Apologise To Irish Women” – Laois Bishop
Written 1 week ago by Hannah Murphy
A female bishop from Laois is calling on the Pope to apologise to Irish women for the effects of the Church’s “toxic” policies.
Ex-communicated Bridget Meehan claims the pontiff needs to ask for forgiveness from those suffered in Magdalene laundries.
According to the Irish Independent, she also feels women have been hurt by the Church’s views on contraception and female priests.
Speaking from a liturgy in Dublin this weekend, she says males have no clue what it’s like to be pregnant.
