Portlaoise Hospital Being Kicked Down The Road

The Government is being accused of kicking the can down the road when it comes to Portlaoise Hospital.

A consultation process has been promised since the end of 2017 after a leaked Dublin Midlands Hospital Group report indicated the 24 hour emergency services could be removed in favour of medical assessment and local injury units.

Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan announced eight months ago that a review was to take place.
