A group representing rural Ireland says that small and medium sized industries have taken the biggest hit since the economic crisis.

Irish Rural Link was represented at the Oireachtas Finance Committee which discussed the banking sector today.

The lobby group say that SMEs are not experiencing the recovery seen everywhere else – due to a lack of access to funding from banks.

The organisation’s CEO is Seamus Boland.
