Sahara Dust Falls Overnight In The Midlands

Motorists around the Midlands woke up this morning to a covering of Saharan dust on their cars.
Strong winds in Northern Africa whips up particles of sand, and depending on the wind direction and can move hundreds of kilometres.
When rain then falls, the dust comes down from the atmosphere.
The good spell over the weekend helped the phenomenon to happen.
