Social Welfare Office Met Staff From Closed Mullingar Tourism Firm

The Social Welfare Office in Mullingar has met with staff who have been left unemployed after a local tourism firm shut its doors.

Around fifteen people who worked at Exploring Vacations attended the meeting, after being told yesterday that the company has ceased trading.

Fianna Fáil Transport Spokesperson Robert Troy says he’s been alerting all the necessary bodies and trying to arrange supports for those affected by the closure.

The Longford Westmeath TD claims he’s doing all he can to help get these people back into the workforce;
