Students Design First 3D Printer For Zero Gravity Use

A group of students in Westmeath are designing the first ever 3D printer – that can be used at zero gravity.

The AIT project will be used by the International Space Station to print things like cell scaffolds which can be brought back to earth.

It’s also the first of it’s kind that can print objects bigger than itself.
