Written 6 months ago by Newsroom
Birdwatch Ireland is urging people to report animal cruelty to local wildlife rangers after a swan had been found beheaded in Westmeath.
The carcass had been found at Ledestown, near Lough Ennell over the weekend with its meat cut from it.
The organisation is issuing a reminder that they are a protected bird and killing them is a crime.
Westmeath chairman Tom O’Callaghan says it will only stop if people report it;
