Troy Calls For More Garda Resources To Tackle Rising Road Deaths

Written 3 years ago by Newsroom

Robert Troy says road safety has slipped down the Government’s list of priorities.

The Fianna Fáil Transport Spokesperson and Longford Westmeath TD is calling for a renewed emphasis on increasing the number of Gardaí in the traffic corps.

Around 180 people have died on Irish roads so far this year, up a quarter on last year.

Deputy Troy says the issue of Garda resources must be addressed.
