A Westmeath man is listed for trial today for the murder of a woman in the county two years ago.

Danny Keena of Empor, Ballynacargy pleaded guilty in March to the manslaughter of Brigid Maguire at Main Street, Ballynacargy on November 14th, 2015.

However, the 54 year old’s plea was not accepted by the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The case is expected to last one week.
