Gardaí are investigating an aggravated burglary on the Laois-Carlow border – which resulted in a woman being hospitalised.

It happened at around 4.30am earlier today at a house in Lower Springhill, Killeshin.

Three masked men entered a property, took the keys of a Nissan Qashqai and had been confronted by the victim.
