3 Midland Councillors celebrate St Patricks Day abroad.
The Taoiseach, Minister John Maloney and a number of Councillors are travelling abroad to represent Ireland and the Midlands on St Patricks Day.
Brian Cowen will celebrate in Washington, Minister Maloney is going to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The chairmen of both Westmeath and Offaly County Councils Fintan Cooney and Noel Burke will wet the whistle in New York as will Edenderry Councillor Finian O'Neil.
Its understood all Laois councillors are staying at home.
