LA Galaxy manager Bruce Arena says Robbie Keane should be fit for Irelands Euro 2016 campaign.

The 35-year-old underwent knee surgery last week after suffering the injury during the Galaxy’s win over the San Jose Earthquakes in March.

Arena told lagalaxy.com that Keane should be back in action in about a month’s time.

“He needed it, he had some loose pieces in his knee and needed to have those removed. It’s a fairly normal occurrence.

“It’s cartilage and a lot of players have some type of issue with their knees at some point. He should be fine. I’d say in close to a month, he’ll be back to full speed.”
