Roddy Collins admits it has been a traumatic season for Athlone Town.

Following a year of controversy off the pitch following a match fixing scandal, they suffered yet another defeat on Friday, going down 4-0 to UCD in their final game of the season.

They finished rock bottom of the table on just 17 points after 28 games.

Collins says he’s glad the season is over.
